Cellular provider PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM/Telkom) plans to acquire a tower operator by end of 2015, aiming at becoming the largest player in the industry of telecommunication tower.

The state-controlled company might complete the plan by a share swap in its subsidiary PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) though it had not revealed the exact value.

At the same time, the company is seeking external fund worth Rp5 trillion to Rp10 trillion for capital expenditure (capex) this year, including rupiah bond issue, global bond, and bank loans.

In 2014, the largest cellular provider expects revenue to grow by 8% to Rp89.59 trillion compared to that of the earlier year.
